Due to our clients’ requirements and time frames, only candidates with eligibility to work in New Zealand will be considered for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating and maintaining excavators (1.5 to 30T) and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently on civil construction sites
• Performing trenching, paving prep, backfilling, site cuts, and boxing out for roads, kerbs, channels, drainage systems and wastewater infrastructure
• Working safely in deep trenches and confined spaces, especially around live services and utilities
• Reading and following site plans, blueprints, and work instructions to complete tasks to required quality and deadlines
• Conducting daily pre-start checks, basic maintenance and troubleshooting, while adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of excavator operations, maintenance, and

troubleshooting – 3 years + experience required

• Experience using other heavy machinery including Loaders, Rollers, Bulldozers, Moxy’s, Pavers or Graders and Hydrovac machine
• Worked across a wide range of projects including roading, drainage, trenching, subdivisions or infrastructure projects
• A Class 4 or 5 full licence with WTR endorsements
• A good level of physical fitness to meet the demands of the role
